When to consider it
Consider Polyphemus if motorized reel rotation is a feature you want to evaluate and your two-spool batch can share a schedule. EIBOS now offers both 70°C and 80°C selections on the product page; the numeric finder uses the 80°C version. Rotation is a documented mechanism, not an independent verification of the maker’s uniformity or drying-speed claims.
Check before ordering
Select the 80°C variant to match this profile. The technical table specifies 30–80°C, two reels up to Ø210 × 80 mm each, or one up to Ø210 × 170 mm. The larger-spool extension is a separate configuration. EIBOS explains that the display reports conditions at its sensor location, so the reading is not a measurement of every point in the chamber or inside the filament.
Published details that affect the choice
| Feature | Published detail |
|---|---|
| Compared variant | 80°C option |
| Temperature settings | 30–80°C; confirm selected variant |
| Standard double load | Two reels, each up to Ø210 × 80 mm |
| Alternative load | One reel up to Ø210 × 170 mm |
Alternatives worth comparing
Compare SH02 or Space Pi Plus for a simpler two-spool shared batch, and E2 if your process requires more than 85°C. An extension accessory changes the fit calculation; it does not establish a different temperature limit.
